THE BARNESYARD’S RATINGS CONVERSION CHART

I use a variety of grading methods for my reviews, including the “Popcorn Guy” icon in the SN&R, so I have compiled this handy conversion chart:

Exploding Popcorn icon:
5 stars = GREAT [Grade: A]
4.5 stars = Near-great [Grade: A-]
Verdict: See It Now

Happy Popcorn icon:
4 stars = Very Good [Grade: B+]
3.5 stars = Good [Grade: B]
Verdict: See It

Indifferent Popcorn icon:
3 stars = OK [Grade: B-]
2.5 stars = So-So [Grade: C+]
Verdict: Your Call

Crushed Popcorn icon:
2 stars = Poor [Grade: C]
1.5 stars = Very Poor [Grade: C-]
Verdict: Skip It

Dead Popcorn icon:
1 star = Terrible [Grade: D+/D]
0.5 star = Unwatchable [Grade: D-/F]
Verdict: Burn It
