Daniel Barnes @ the SN&R/SA Current (4/2 issues)

*If the naughty-boy, early-1990s oeuvres of Pedro Almodovar and Quentin Tarantino were somehow able to copulate, then Wild Tales would be their grossly beautiful sextuplet offspring.

*Kirby Dick’s The Hunting Ground examines the extreme prevalence of sexual assault on college campuses, and the disgusting ways that school administrators silence victims and shield sexual predators in order to protect their reputations. The emotions are raw, even when the filmmaking feels cozy and soft.

*My Danny Collins review was reprinted in this week’s San Antonio Current.
