About Daniel Barnes

Daniel Barnes is a Sacramento-based film critic, journalist, copywriter and podcaster.  A member of the San Francisco Bay Area Film Critics Circle since 2014, Daniel is also the creator and co-host of the Dare Daniel and Canon Fodder podcasts.  He lives in Sacramento with his wife, Darcey.

His work has appeared in Sacramento News & Review, Comstock’s Magazine, Sacramento Bee, East Bay Express, Colorado Springs Independent, Inside Publications, San Antonio Current, Shepherd’s Express (Milwaukee), and many other publications across the country.

Daniel also enjoys grilled meats, great coffee, better cocktails, old movies, classic rock and soul music, basketball, bicycles, cats, dogs and long, pointless lists.
