About Daniel Barnes
Daniel Barnes is a Sacramento-based film critic and writer. A member of the San Francisco Bay Area Film Critics Circle, Daniel is also the creator and co-host of the Dare Daniel Podcast. He lives in Sacramento with his wife, Darcey Self, an associate creative director at Runyon Saltzman.
His work has appeared in Sacramento News & Review, Comstock’s Magazine, Sacramento Bee, Sacramento Magazine, East Bay Express, Colorado Springs Independent, Inside Publications, San Antonio Current, Shepherd’s Express (Milwaukee), The Argonaut (Los Angeles), and many other publications across the country.
